TB+A provided full MEP engineering design services for the £20million redevelopment of the former Library Tower as a prestigious new home for the School of Law and a new social hub. The project included the creation of a new 3-storey building to connect the refurbished Tower and Peter Froggatt Centre within which a series of central atrium spaces provides natural light and ventilation to the building.
The new building is designed to be a vibrant destination for both students and staff. A detailed thermal analysis and model of the building was completed to maximise and optimise the natural ventilation strategy with the project aiming to achieve BREEAM Excellent.
Key features include: M&E services associated with proposed Moot Court
+ Thermal modelling setting the new facade performance criteria
