Peter Anderson, Managing Partner

The Camden Climate Change Alliance (CCCA) is a not-for-profit membership network founded by the London Borough of Camden in 2008, bringing together businesses, public sector organisations and Business Improvement Districts across Camden to empower them to make a positive impact on the environment.

The CCCA is guided by an Advisory Board made up of member organisations to ensure that the needs of the business community are continually met.

Troup Bywaters + Anders have been alliance members since 2010 and have actively contributed towards the CCCA’s objectives in reducing the boroughs carbon emissions and helping them to meet their commitment of tackling climate change.

Managing Partner Peter Anderson joined the alliance advisory board in September 2017 with the aim of sharing experiences, knowledge and championing the work of the alliance, to help make a positive contribution towards supporting the CCCA to achieve their self-financing independent organisation ambitions.

Peter explains: “Having been in the engineering field for over 30 years I have always been conscious of the impact our designs have on the world. Services engineers have significant ability to influence building outcomes, energy usage and sustainability of assets by applying our knowledge, tools and best practice. I wanted to become involved in assisting CCCA in their advisory work, sharing practical experience and knowledge with the local business community.

Our involvement with CCCA has been very rewarding in targeting and achieving improvements to the sustainability of our operations and we have ‘Sustainability at Heart’ as the central pillar of our Business.

We are leading the way on apprenticeships, giving opportunity and futures to young people and as part of our IiP Platinum, Health & Wellbeing and Champion status I would like to help in the mentoring and support for the benefit of the community.

Whilst we have achieved a lot, there is so much more that we can do by our influence and experience helping our colleagues and clients to embed sustainability for the future generations to come”.
