TB+A are part of a coalition of businesses from across the UK calling for Net Zero to be at the heart of the Planning Bill

14th June 2021

As a UK-GBC member organisation, Troup Bywaters + Anders are signatories to an open letter, jointly coordinated by the UK-GBC and Aldersgate Group, calling on the Prime Minister and Secretaries of State to review the new Planning Bill.

The letter outlines the need for the Planning Bill to “align directly with the obligations under the Climate Change Act and plans to reverse nature's decline in the Environment Bill.”

It goes on to say that without these measures, there is a risk of undermining any ‘green levelling-up’ promises ahead of COP26 and ultimately failing to achieve a green recovery.

Managing Partner at TB+A and signatory to the letter, Peter Anderson adds, “This joint, business-led initiative is a positive step forward in pushing for firmer commitments through the planning system and taking measures to drive the decarbonisation of the built environment harnessing nature based solutions to make a positive impact for the future”
