Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment
December 2020
Making our pledge

Troup Bywaters + Anders are delighted to share that today we have become signatories of the World Green Building Council’s (WGBC) Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement.

As one of the 18 businesses and organisations making this pledge today, we are now part of a strong alliance leading the decarbonisation of the built environment, bringing the total number of signatories to 128 worldwide.

The World Green Building Council is a global action network leading the industry towards a net zero carbon, healthy, equitable and resilient built environment. Their Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment calls for businesses, organisations, cities and regions to take action to achieve an operationally net zero carbon portfolio by 2030 or earlier. This aligns with our commitment to reducing our carbon emission and having sustainability at the Heart of our business.

"We are pleased to be a signatory to the World Green Building Council – Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment, helping to promote this important initiative and playing our part in decarbonising the built environment through our own operations along with leadership and advocacy within the construction industry. Our Whole life services through the design, construction, operation and maintenance of buildings enable us to assist organisations in mapping and monitoring their journey to net zero carbon and beyond.”

Peter Anderson, Managing Partner, Troup Bywaters + Anders

As a carbon neutral Partnership, this is the next step and significant milestone in our journey to address the climate crisis.
