Troup Bywaters + Anders LLP (TB+A) has received two shortlist nominations at the 2026 CIBSE Young Engineers Awards, with the Partnership recognised in the Employer of the Year category and our Melissa Riggs, Technician Engineer, shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year.
The awards celebrate the achievements of emerging talent across the building services profession, as well as the organisations that support and develop the next generation of engineers.
In recognition of her development and achievements as part of her apprenticeship journey, Melissa Riggs has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year.
Completing an apprenticeship involves much more than attending college and university, and passing assessments. It requires a commitment to building technical knowledge, gaining practical experience and developing the confidence needed to succeed in a professional environment.
Being shortlisted at a national industry level is a significant achievement and reflects the dedication and hard work Melissa has shown throughout her development to date.

TB+A has also been shortlisted for Employer of the Year, recognising our continued commitment to supporting people at every stage of their career, and developing the future leaders of our business and wider industry, something we have always been particularly passionate about.
Developing future engineers has long been an important part of the Partnership. Through apprenticeships, mentoring, training and day-to-day knowledge sharing, our people across the business play an active role in helping others develop their skills and progress their careers.
Many of our senior leaders began their own careers as trainees and apprentices, creating a culture where experience, knowledge and opportunity are continually passed on to the next generation.
This shortlist reflects the collective effort of the people across TB+A who invest their time and support in helping others succeed.
The 2026 CIBSE Young Engineers Awards will take place on 8th October in London, bringing together individuals and organisations from across the building services industry to celebrate excellence, achievement and professional development.
