Our excellent relationship with Queen’s University Belfast continues as we were appointed to provide full MEP engineering design services for the £20 million redevelopment of the former Library Tower as a prestigious new home for the School of Law and a new social hub.

The project includes the creation of a new three storey building to connect the refurbished Tower and Peter Froggatt Centre within which a series of central atrium spaces will provide natural light and ventilation to the building. School of Law staff and Student facilities will be located on the upper floors, whilst the ground floor offers a Hub providing social and informal group study and a café.

The new building is designed to be a vibrant destination for both students and staff. A detailed thermal analysis and model of the building was completed to maximise and optimise the natural ventilation strategy with the project aiming to achieve BREEAM Very Good.
