We worked with our long-standing client JLL to deliver a lift installation that matched the ambitions of a modern, high-performing workplace. Building on years of successful collaboration, our solution brought more than accessibility and efficiency to this landmark site.
The project included six passenger lifts with destination control, four goods lifts, one firefighter’s lift, and two platform lifts – all designed to enhance the movement, safety and overall experience of those who use the building.
Our role was to oversee the installations which were delivered to specification, tested for technical compliance, and supported with a robust maintenance strategy to safeguard long-term performance.
We began by reviewing the lift specification, confirming compliance with statutory requirements while aligning with JLL’s operational needs.
As installations progressed, collaborative site surveys were carried out, allowing both teams to monitor progress, validate workmanship, and resolve any issues before practical completion. This shared approach not only reduced risks but also kept the project on track.
Once the lifts were installed, we oversaw a rigorous programme of performance testing and snagging, verifying lift performance through ride quality checks and safety system assessments, checking all systems operated in line with the required technical and safety standards.
We also worked closely on the documentation review, confirming that commissioning certificates, O&M manuals, and compliance records were accurate and complete. This provided JLL with the confidence that every regulatory and contractual requirement had been fully met.
Finally, in collaboration with JLL’s facilities management team, we mobilised the maintenance contract. This included scheduling, training and setting up reporting processes for seamless ongoing service and reliability.
The successful delivery at The Acre, 90 Long Acre reflects a genuine collective effort with JLL. Together, we achieved a high-quality installation of a diverse lift portfolio that supports efficient passenger movement, reliable goods handling, accessible platform use, and enhanced fire safety provisions.
